Spring House Wedding in Winston-Salem, NC | Julie & Will

There's something special about weddings at Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar in Winston-Salem. With its historic Southern charm, beautiful gardens, and intimate atmosphere, it's easy to see why it's one of the city's most beloved wedding venues.

Julie and Will's wedding was the perfect example of everything that makes a Spring House wedding so unforgettable. Their day was elegant, relaxed, and full of meaningful moments—from a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the lawn to an incredible dance party under the reception tent that kept everyone celebrating late into the evening.

As a Winston-Salem wedding photographer, these are the kinds of weddings I absolutely love documenting.

Getting Ready at Spring House

One of my favorite things about Spring House is that every part of the day can unfold in one beautiful location.

Julie spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids while laughter filled the rooms and final touches came together. Her timeless gown paired beautifully with a soft, romantic bouquet filled with pastel blooms, creating a classic bridal look that perfectly matched the venue.

Meanwhile, Will enjoyed a quiet morning with his groomsmen before getting dressed in a navy suit accented with a light blue patterned bow tie—a subtle detail that perfectly reflected his personality.

One of my favorite moments from the morning was capturing both of them separately before they saw each other. There’s always something so special about those final quiet moments before the day truly begins.

An Outdoor Ceremony at Spring House

The ceremony took place on the lawn beneath the mature trees that surround Spring House.

Guests were welcomed by the sound of a live string quartet, creating an elegant atmosphere as everyone gathered outdoors. The warm spring weather, lush greenery, and historic estate made the perfect backdrop for Julie and Will to exchange their vows.

It was simple, heartfelt, and filled with genuine emotion.

As they walked back down the aisle together as husband and wife, the excitement on their faces said everything.

Portraits Around the Historic Grounds

Spring House offers so many beautiful locations for portraits without ever needing to leave the property.

The white historic home, charming French doors, mature trees, and manicured gardens created timeless backdrops throughout the afternoon. Julie looked absolutely stunning, especially with her cathedral-length veil catching the light as we explored the grounds together.

Some of my favorite images from the day came from simply letting Julie and Will slow down for a few minutes. Rather than stiff posing, they laughed together, held hands, and soaked in the excitement of finally being married.

Those authentic moments always become my favorites.

Dancing the Night Away Under the Tent

As the sun began to set, everyone made their way into the beautifully decorated reception tent.

After heartfelt speeches, incredible food, and Julie and Will's first dance, the evening quickly turned into one unforgettable party.

The dance floor stayed packed all night.

Friends and family celebrated with endless energy, singing along to every song and making memories that perfectly captured the joy of the day. These are often my favorite moments to photograph because they're completely genuine—people letting go, celebrating, and enjoying every second together.

It was the perfect ending to an incredible wedding day.
